Sniper Training Cycle 2024
The complete qualification consists out of the following 4 modules:
Module 1 - Basic Ground Reconnaissance is the fundamental skill to begin with. This module comprises three interlinked subjects: Basic Navigation, Advanced Navigation, and Ground Reconnaissance. It is crucial to be familiar with the terrain, know how to navigate the distances, identify safe entry and exit points, and, most importantly, learn how to leverage the ground, nature, and environment to your advantage.
Module 2 - Basic Sniper Training is the starting point for developing your essential skill set as a sniper. In this module, you will learn to improve your skills by starting at the 100m and gradually increasing your range to 1400m. To succeed, you will need to thoroughly understand your rifle, ballistics, and optical equipment capabilities and learn how to navigate through different environments during both day and night. Additionally, you will learn how to remain hidden for extended periods of time and ensure a triumphant return with the best possible outcome.
Module 3 - Close Target Reconnaissance is a vital skill for a sniper team. The main goal of this module is to gather significant information and evidence about the target without being detected. To accomplish this objective, the team must have above-average abilities to avoid being caught. This module is conducted in pairs to emphasise the importance of teamwork and group collaboration.
Module 4 - Advanced Sniper Training is the ultimate phase of the complete skill development program for a team of two. The training emphasises teamwork, where each member is assigned a specific role and is expected to hone their skills. This module is the final training available for advanced sniper techniques.
