“Start at the Basics”

This course is dedicated to the memory of JJ Marè, who ignited our passion for precision shooting. I used to doubt his claim that we and our equipment could hit a 40cm x 60cm target over a distance of 1600m (measured with a GPS) until the day I hit the target two out of three times with a standard Remington Sendero in .300 Win Mag and a Vortex PST Viper Telescope (the first model before the Gen II). I will forever cherish the friendship and brotherly love of a friend once known as the precision shooter with the best technical knowledge of the science and art of precision marksmanship in South Africa.

ASSESSMENT

• An assessment will follow each section. You must complete nine theory assessments to qualify for the final practical assessment.
• You must answer all questions.
• You can review questions (yellow blocks) and return to them on the Review Questions list; green blocks show completed questions. If you click on any of the blocks, you can return to the question.
• If a question requires detailed information, we can include a “Hint” button below the question that opens the relevant lesson in a new window/tab.
• Once you complete it, you can view your results, and in the “View Questions” section, you can see the questions that were answered incorrectly.
• You must achieve a minimum score of 90% on each theory assessment in order to pass.
• The assessment allows a maximum of three (3) attempts to meet the required pass rate.
• If you cannot achieve the required pass mark after three attempts:
  • You cannot continue with the course.
  • You will lose all course access and any fees already paid.
  • We will not issue refunds or partial credits.
• If you wish to restart the course after failing an assessment:
  • You must re-enrol at the full course price.
  • No discounts or carry-over progress will apply.
